When you search for a phone number, make sure that the list where you are looking for is updated, because it may happen that the information is not actual anymore, or the person you are looking for has changed the address.

Finally, another option when you search for a phone number is to ask an operator to do this for you. So, all you have to do is to call to the local phone company, at the customers service and to ask them the phone number you want, of course if it is public. The operator will search in the database and give you the phone numbers of all persons with the name you are looking for. The good thing is that this service is usually free.
