Chinese products are so wide spread that you might find yourself searching for a better deal. You can use your cell phone in China but should consider that you might be in roaming and your cell phone service provider might not have any agreement with a Chinese one and you end up making very costly international calls, that’s why it’s better to buy a prepaid SIM during your trip to China.

When you search for a particular Chinese number if you are an English speaker you should know that Google doesn’t cover Chinese sites as much as it does with all other sites from around the world because of recent disputes it had with Chinese government. Any way you can search for a particular product using the term Chinese in your query because webmasters from China have done search engines optimization targeted to English speaking countries. If you speak Chinese then it should be very easy to use a Chinese search engines to find what you are looking for.


You can use one of the online translation services from Google, Yahoo babelfish, Worldlingo to do a translated search. Of course you don’t get an accurate translation, but it will suit the purpose to get the information you want. If you are searching for a product from a company you might be lucky to find the website of that company and you can switch to the English version of the site. Maybe you don’t need to call if the website has a sort of contact form and you can write your inquiry and wait for a reply.
