All phone numbers released to telemarketers?

There are many rumors that all phone numbers will be released to telemarketers. There are several emails that are circling and warning all the cell phone users that all their phone numbers will be released to telemarketers. Is it true? If it is what would this imply? First of all this would mean that any telemarketer would have access to your cell phone number and he could call you when he wants to. He could call you when you are in a meeting, or you have a serious conversation and he could disturb you.

There are rules that prohibit telemarketers to call on cell phone numbers. They can do this, but with the consent of the owner. Without their consent they can not do a thing.

All our landline numbers are known by the telemarketers. They have access to the phonebook were they are stoked. The only landline numbers where they do not have access are the ones who were registered secretly. Don’t tell me that you have never received a call from a telemarketer at your home number. They are disturbing. Do not tell me that you weren’t put to answer to some questions and because you didn’t want to be impolite you answered them. It’s annoying. OK. There are persons who tell them never to call again. But do they listen? No. They continue calling you every time they want. You have the choice not to answer the call but this won’t stop here.

Imagine what would happen if all cell phone numbers will be released to telemarketers! It will be the same process. You will receive calls to buy different things or to answer to different questions. All you have to do is not answer them. But this won’t work every time you will receive a telemarketer call.
