Activities For Teaching Kids Their Address And Phone Number
If you are mother of a child and you decided that it is time for him to become responsible by learning new information about him and his family, then first you have to create a “battle plan”, because it will not be easy, especially if you are not so patient when it comes to children.
So, you first need to find out which are the activities for teaching children address and phone number so that you know which one to apply in case of your child, because each one of them is special and learns in his own way and rhythm.

So, if you want to know which are the activities for teaching children address and phone number, you must know that there is any list with activities, because all depends on the child, on his mental level and desire to learn. Although, the most important thing that you must consider in this process is the fact that if the child is at the age when the main activity for him is playing, then you must include the task of learning address and phone number in his games and other activities that he develops.
The specialists say that the best time of the day for a child to know new things is in the morning, after the breakfast, when he is rested and ready for a new day. That is why you should consider this when you start the process of learning.
When you want to teach the child new things you must pay attention first to the things the child is attracted to, such as toys, pets or even the PC if he likes video games. After this, it is easy to figure out that any activity related to the things he likes it will be a pleasant one and he will be curious to try it.

For example, you can teach him your phone number by using your pets as subjects of the game. In this way, you can make associations between the digits of the phone number and the pets you have, together to those of the neighbor’s. If the phone number is 555- 1342, you can say to the child that 1 comes from the cat you have, 3 from the 3 dogs you raise, 4 from the 4 parrots the neighbor has and 2 from the 2 hamsters he will have on his birthday if he behaves.
In this way, he will certainly not forget the numbers, because he learnt them with the help of his little friends. He will be delighted because he learnt something new and will love pets even more because they played an important role in the new mission accomplished.
Even if the children get bored very fast by a toy or an activity, you must know that everyday you have to try new things and games, and in this way you can figure out what activities does he like the most so that you encourage him in doing it, such as playing a musical instrument, or drawing, or singing. He will appreciate your work later, when he realized that you have helped him fulfill his passion.

This article is great! I am going to try out the things you wrote here because my son is 6 years old and he has a terrible memory for remembering things. He even has a tough time remembering when his dad birthday is. I seriously got worried and took him to the pediatrician once but he told me it was normal because his fills with mind with games and how to have fun and does not pay attention to other details. But I think it is about time he learned the home phone number and address because who known one day what could happened. Thanks again guys.

Please help me! I simply cannot manage to teach my kid my personal cell phone number. He refuses to learn it. He known our home phone number but what happens if there is an emergency and there is no one at home? I have tried all sorts of methods and I turned my phone number into a song and sing it to him but he still doesn’t remember. At first I thought it was ambition and he would know it even if he said he couldn’t remember but his teacher wanted to call me once and he said I never told him my number. What to do?

Debra, I had the same trouble with my kid and it turns out that rewarding them is the best way to get them to learn something. I would always buy his favorite sweets whenever I wanted him to do something. I motivate his to keep his room clean and also doing his homework. IT is worse if you try to deprive him of something like not letting him watch cartoon if he doesn’t eat his veggies. It’s better to tell him he will win something if he does the right things.
